Use with beeswax to form an emulsifier in water-in-oil emulsions. The more borax used the stiffer an emulsion will become as the sodium tetraborate of the borax combines with the cerotic acid of the beeswax to form sodium cerotate. This emulsification system works well in water-in-oil type emulsions where the ratio of water to oil is small.
