Description: Cocoa butter (also known as cacao butter) is the natural cream coloured vegetable fat extracted from cocoa beans during the process of separating the powder and liquor from the bean. 70% of the world’s production of cocoa butter is produced in the West African nations Nigeria, Ghana and Cote d’Ivoire. Cocoa butter has a soft, sweet cocoa aroma, and is one of the most stable fats known. It contains natural antioxidants that prevent rancidity, and has an extrmemly long shelf life. Some estimates put it at between 2 and 5 years with proper storage conditions.

Method: While melting the cocoa butter blend in the carrier oils. Take the mixture off the heat source and while it is add the essential oils. Mix thoroughly. Easy!
Of course you can change the essential and carrier oils to suit your needs keeping in mind that 20 grams of Cocoa Butter is sufficient to make a beautifully rich balm.
