Can you answer a few of my concerns regarding some ingredients of your products the Cetyl alcohol is reported to cause skin reactions but there is a coconut derivitive I believe the ND does not indicate this however
Propylene glycol worries me also

leonnie
Hi Leonnie

Cetyl Alcohol is a wax (not a solvent type alcohol) derived from Palm Oil. It is used to thicken creams and lotions and add shine to hair care product effects. It has been used for over 50 years with NO reported problems. (Not sure where the customer got the information that it is reported to cause skin irritations but this assumption is totally incorrect)

Propylene Glycol also has been used for over 50 years with no adverse reactions. If the customer is reading some incorrect literature that says it is an industrial solvent used in anti-freezes this is incorrect. Anti-freezes use Ethylene Glycol, a totally different chemical.

We know there is some literature on the web that makes these erroneous claims and we can assure the customer that we only use safe and effective materials.
