Hi
I'm after some skin care products for sensitive skin and would like to order them together.
Is the Face Whitening cream suitable for sensitive skin ? Do I have to apply another moisturizer after apply the whitening cream ?
For the body -- there are custard, milk and lotion available, what is the difference between them ?
Henna powder -- Can the red colour Henna powder use on black hair ? will it damage hair for using the Henna powder ?
Thanks for your help

Do your shampoo and conditioner bases have any chemicals in them? Are they 100% natural ingrediants?

Hi,
I understand that rosehip oil can help with attenuate scars (surgical and accidental) and also avoids the formation of the keloid type of scar. However rosehip oil has relatively short shelf life.
What preservatives and how many percentage of the it can I add to the oil to prolong its shelf life?
How long would the shelf life be prolonged with added preservatives? Would the oil be too thick to apply straight on sugerical scar?
Thanks.

Hi there,
I'd just like to know if propylparaben and methylparaben are considered natural preservatives. I've read somewhere that they are organic compounds.
Also, given the choice of using Vit E or the parabens as a preservative, which is a better recommendation? and what percentages do I use for each type?
Would appreciate some guidance on this!
Cheers
Audrey

Hi,
(1) Which of the 3 cleanser namely, mild cleanser cream, facial cleansing cream, can be used as a makeup remover?
(2) Is it alright to use any of the the 3 cleansers twice daily as part of the skin care routine?
(3) For the mild facewash gel, what are the usage instruction? Do I add a bit of water to it first or apply it straight to dry skin?
Thanks.

i have purchease some products already but am very concerned that New Directions still uses chemicals likePropylene Glycol this is an item from byronchild magazine > • Propylene Glycol — A moisture-carrying vehicle or humectant, it is found in most shampoos, conditioners and body lotions. Sounds harmless enough but it is actually the major ingredient in industrial anti-freeze, brake and hydraulic fluids and floor wax. Linked to skin irritation, gastro-intestinal disturbances, nausea, headaches and vomiting, overexposure to propylene glycol can cause liver abnormalities and kidney damage. These warnings are clearly stated on the Material Safety Data Sheet for this compound, so why aren't there any warnings on our personal ‘care' products?
IS NEW DIRECTIONS INTENDING TO FIND NATURAL ALTERNATIVES TO USING THESE CHEMICALS?

Hi.
I'm making a shampoo to enhance very dark hair. What should I add to it? The only thing I've come across to actually give more colour is Sage. Is there anything else?

Hi,
Do you have any plans to add glycolic acid to your range? Or anything else that could be used for a skin peel to treat scars/stretch marks?

Hi Thanks so much for all the info about the shampoo for damaged hair.
I have a few questions:
The silk protein - there are 3 of them on the site - is it the amino acid, peptide or the powder that I should use?
The Coconut DEA - what is this? Do I just phone up to do the order rather than the usual via the internet?
The scalp tonic - I am wondering if these oils are to be added to a carrier oil (if so which would be best - I have most of them) or is there something else which would work better?
I have made up some more shampoo with the oils you suggested and I am pretty sure that it is the Vit E that has caused the shampoo to go thin and watery.
Thanks again this has been a great help.

Hi
I am making my own shampoo, using your vita nourish base. I have very damaged hair, which is also falling out, due mainly to a great deal of stress. I have been told by the hairdresser that the hair itself is very dry and porous. The shampoo I made has essential oils and Vit E in it and am happy with the results. The shampoo base has gone very thin and watery. Is there something else I can add to make it thick again or do I just live with it. Also wanting to add something else to it to feed the hair - some protien. Would marine collagen be best or should I use something else. Or would I be better adding some of the ingredients to the shampoo and the others to the conditioner??
Thanks so much
Megan

Could you please tell me where I can purchase "Propolis". I would like to add it to an ointment, but haven't been able to find anyone that stocks it (I'm not even sure what form it comes in... ie; is it a liquid, or powder?).
Does anyone know where I can purchase it from?
Many Thanks

Sorry to repeat myself but I think I put my original thread in the wrong place...why is it recommended to add only up to 3% rosehip oil to face creams, can't you use it 100%?

Can ND please tell me the difference between your 2 calendula infused oils because in the specifications list the B915060-4 states it as 90% olive oil and 10% calundula extract but the B517050-6 states it as 100% calendula infusion, what is that?

Hi,
I am wondering if there is any need to be cautious in using fruit extracts in pregnancy as there is with essential oils?
Thankyou.

G'day, I have a great big Qn regarding dilutions.
I recently bought some base moisturiser/shampoo/conditioner's along with some carrier oils and essential oils.
I have looked at many recipes and books, and have become confused!
I would like to make lotions in 100ml batches.
So to 100ml base lotion, I believe I use 10ml carrier oil.
Though:
When it comes to the dilution of essential oils within the 10ml carrier, I have read all different dilution strategies. These range from using 10drops/100ml - 125drops/100ml!
So, can I really use anywhere between 0.5% - 10% essential oils within a lotion/shampoo???
Hope that makes sense! A helping hand will be greatly appreciated!!!
Plenty of Thanks,
Cheerio, Nikki

Hi, Can anyway help please. I am wanting to make a cream for my son's eczema. I am wanting to make it up with simple ingregdients that help with itchying and dryness. It needs to have nothing that will sting and preferably as natural/organic as possible. Anyway help would be greatly appreciated, I am so tired of trying to buy one and would love to make it myself.
