Hello, I too find it to be an inconvenience not to know what the postage will be. I realise that postage is calculated by weight and destination of the order, but some basic guidelines on your site would be helpful so your customers would at least have some idea before they place their order. All of the other sites I have ordered from over the internet have their postage costs displayed for orders placed in Australia listed.

I would have thought that, for what appears to be a sizeable company, you would be able to negotiate a contract with a freight company of your choice and thereby be able to quote freight costs by weight and destination, thus allowing customers to view freight costs prior to giving over credit card details online. I deal with another company online and delivery costs are set for each area of delivery in Australia, with bulk items (marked) attracting an extra charge.

Hi all,
I can understand your concerns and believe it or not you are not the only ones. We are currently working on a system that you can calculate the cost of freight; this will give you a rough estimate. However, it is one person and he has to build a program that will incorporate the postcode of your area along with the weight of your order.
The postcode is relevant, as all orders will be shipped to the capital of your state, and from there it will filter out to the more rural areas.
Calculating the weight aspect however, is not as simple as that, as most freight companies incorporate the amount of space a box takes up into their costing. For instance a box of plastic bottles may only weigh a few Kilograms, however, the space it takes up could be 2-3 x that much.
In the mean time, a possible solution or compromise to the problem maybe. When entering method of payment select Direct Deposit, and in the comments section explain that you will provide cc details when total has been given inc P+H.
If you have any further questions do not hesitate to ask.
