Hi, I was just wondering if there are other ingredients in the henna powders, and what they are, since henna only comes in red. Is the black henna Indigo? What are in the other colours? Thankyou, Lisa

All hennas contain a dye substance called lawsone, which acts as a red dye on the hair keratin
The longer the henna is left on the hair, the deeper the colour will be. A deeper colour may also be achieved by applying heat to the hair. Because henna bases have a reddish tinge, the resulting colour will have some red highlights. The extent of this will depend on the temperature used to apply the henna, the pH of the water used and the time that henna is left on the hair.
Henna is a natural semi permanent dye and colour will fade over 2-3 months.
It is not advised to use henna on chemically treated hair, including dyed bleached or permed. When used on partly grey hair an uneven effect may occur.

Just wondering then how do you get henna in the six or seven different colours that are supplied. For example brown..
