Question about dying salt.
I've tried to dye some of my bath salts purple, but am having no luck. I used food dye, mixing red and blue and they came out green! It only turned to purple once the salt was diluted by water. Tried diluting the salt then adding. No luck. Tried mixing blue dye with beetroot juice. No luck.
If anyone has any ideas on how to get colour to stay fast in salt, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks.

Hi Michelle,
Try mixing your colours in a bit a water first then mixing into a small amount of salt then adding this into the rest of the salt, stirring the salts until blended. Using more red and just a little bit of blue may create a true purple for you.
Goo luck.
