Hi all, i have just purchased quite a few fragrant oils from ND. I made cold processed soap with them and unfortunately around 8 of 10 seperate batches i made seized (went hard immediately) and were ruined. The worst was the strawberry fragrance, this one I actually tested twice. ND suggested that it was my soap receipe which i can assure I have been using for a long time and other brand fragrances have not failed.
I am aware that other companies state that some fragrances may not be suitable for Cold Process soap but ND say all of theirs are. I am wondering if anyone else has had similar problems with these fragrance oils?
Thanks
marie

Hi Marie,
I have spoken to our chemist and our fragrance oils are all concentrated and the correct formula for candle and soap making.

I am aware that there is a very fine line when mixing soaps and I would recommend following a recipe to the exact amounts to ensure a quality product.

If you have already done so, I would suggest talking to someone who has been in the industry for a while. The climate does make alot of difference and they may have some valuable tips.
