Can anyone tell me about SPF in natural tanning oil products. I am useing cocnut oil as a base and want to make a SPF 5 and SPF 10. I see that some people use sesame seed oil. Any thoughts on this. How much does one add. % sesame? Thank you in advance. My products are for export. Garry

Garry,
do you know why they are adding sesame? Is it just what they use, would another oil be suitable?
I can't answer your questions, but as you are going to export, have you checked with the country you plan to export to, to see if they will allow those ingredients in products? This may sound like a crazy question, but depending on where you are exporting to, have you found out if Australia has any export agreements or embargoes with that country? If Australia is banning export to a certain country, or that country is banning exports from us, then you could get yourself into all sorts of trouble (and expenses0.
Yes, I'm assuming you are from Australia, but it still holds true for any country.
