Hi
I was just wondering if somebody could explain the difference between refined and unrefined products? How do i know which one to buy?

Carly
With the refined products, certain constituents have been removed to provide a whiter, smoother product, ideal for the cosmetic industry, or a product that is liquid at room temperature, whereas, the unrefined is unaltered and thus retains all of its original constituents providing more therapeutic qualities.

JENNA
Dear Carly,

For aromatherapy therapeutical use, unrefined oils are always the only choice. However in some case, unrefined oils are not easy to purchase, or they have a very strong smell (such as olive oil), some will choose refined oils.

But whenever possible, choose the unrefined, cold pressed oil for aromatherapy use.
