Hi, i have a ten year old that suffers from a huge wart problem, and they just seem to keep spreading! they definately aren't planta warts, all chemist treatments haven't worked, or the nail polish, or banana skin, is there essential oils that might help either stop the spreading, or help get rid of them? many thanks,
Bianca

Hi Bianca, If you look in "Aromatherapy blends and recipes", by Franzesca Watson, on page 194, she suggests applying a drop of lemon or tea tree essential oil on to the wart, avoiding the surrounding skin. This can be done with a cotton bud. Once or twice a day for 2 to 3 weeks would be sufficient time to see if this remedy is helpful.
If your son has any skin conditions that make him sensitive, please speak to your practioner before treatment.
This book is available for purchase from new directions at $21.95 before GST.
The warts are otherwise frozen or cut out, depending on the type and where they are. I hope the treatment works.
I hope it works!

Hi Bianca
My daughter had heaps of spreading warts at about the same age mostly on her fingers. We also tried everything including doctor perscribed ulcer tablets, which were suppose to help! In the end a trip to the local Natropath, where we were given two different natural medications, one taken under the tongue and the other dropped on the warts and within 10 days they were gone, to our great relief. And they have never returned and that was nearly 4 years ago. A visit to a natropath may be worth a try if the above isn't successful. Good luck.
