* Hi, I'm looking for recipe's & info on making a facial cleanser base.
* How much grapefruit seed extract to put in products as a preservative & does anyone have any suggestions on other/better preservatives ?
* Can I mix herbal products in creams & lotions that contain essential oils ?

Hi Cassandra,
You require quite alot of information that is available in a few books we have for purchase at New Directions.
Do It Yourself Pure Plant Skin Care-by Carolyn Stubbin, wil answer all your questions and retails for $34.95.
New Directions has a few new and natural preservatives available on the web site. These preservative blends are suggested to be more preserviing that grape seed extract on it's own. I would suggest plantaserve N natural, as it is completely natural and effective.
Go into raw materials, then preservatives to view these products.
I would recommend using up to 10% of extracts in your blend, when using herbal and fruit additives and approximately 1% or preservative.
A discription of the carrier oils and their uses are also listed.
Enjoy creating!
