I have bought your gorgeous 50ml blue zelo bottles and I would like to make up face oils to put in them. I was wondering if someone would like to give me recipes for oily, dry & normal skintypes to go in these 50ml containers. To the base oil how many drops of essential oils should I use.
regards K x

Hi Kerri,
I have referred to "The Fragrant Pharmacy" by Valerie Ann Worwood.
This book is available from New Directions and leading book stores.
On page 159 you will find a range of different blends. The pre-portions are usually 30ml of base oil to 30 drops or essential, depending on the essential oils used and the client. I use more base oil when blending, so I beleive this blend in 50ml base oil is fine.

People who are sick and/or elderly and children- reduce the amount of essential oils by half, if they are on medication, it is best to consult their treating doctor first.

Dry to normal skin base oil, choose from the following:
almond, avocado, wheatgerm, olive oil, apricot kernel, soya bean

Essential oil blend to add to 30 ml of base oil
German Chamomile-15 drops
Sandalwood-5 drops
Bios de rose-5 drops
Hyssop- 5 drops

For additional benefits add 10 drops evening primrose oil and 2 drops carrot oil

Oily to normal skin base oil, choose from the following:
almond, hazelnut, apricot, grapeseed

Essential oil blend to add to base oil
Juniper- 8 drops
Geranium-10 drops
Lemon-10 drops
Rosemary-2 drops

For additional benefits add 10 drops carrot oil

Enjoy Creating!
